Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are prescribed for documented individual patient need by licensed physicians and prepared by licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality.
Compounded semaglutide is a patient-specific prescription prepared by a state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacy for one person, against one prescription. It is not an FDA-approved finished drug product, it is not a generic of any branded product, and it has not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing quality.
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. It slows gastric emptying, reduces appetite, and helps regulate blood sugar. Whether it is appropriate for you is a decision a licensed clinician makes after reviewing your medical history.
